Unraveled is about exploring identity as an ongoing process of construction and dissolution. Just as the self is never fixed but continuously reassembled through experience, memory, and internal change, the portraits function as visual metaphors for this instability. Using the simplest of marks, the scribble, the faces are simultaneously becoming and undoing themselves. Through this repetition and layering, the work reflects the shedding of older patterns of thought, behavior, and perception, and embracing new patterns, revealing identity not as a singular image, but as something more dynamic and fluid.
